Starting Saturday, October 10, Village Circle will fill with pumpkins. The Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch runs through October 25, and money from pumpkin sales goes to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Over those same two weeks, two of the Village's most talked-about new tenants are still behind coming-soon signs. A third, the biggest name to sign a lease here in years, isn't expected until 2027.
This fall, the Village's international roster grows on paper. The weeknight calendar is being built by tenants who have been on Snow Avenue for years. Both are part of a plan the owner has described openly, and the timing of each piece explains what you can actually do this fall.
What the Storefronts Say as of Early October
WS Development, the Boston-based firm that bought Hyde Park Village in 2013, has spent 2026 adding national and international names. Only one of the four announced this year is open.
| Tenant | Location | Status as of October 7, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Ralph Lauren | 1609 W. Snow Ave., next to Buddy Brew | Open since this summer |
| Hill House Home | Not yet published | Listed as "coming soon," no opening date announced |
| Rifle Paper Co. | 714 S. Village Circle | Targeting fall 2026, no official opening date |
| Hermès | Not yet published | Lease signed, expected in 2027, no official date |
That's So Tampa covered Ralph Lauren's ribbon-cutting at its Snow Avenue storefront this summer. Hill House Home, the brand behind the Nap Dress, announced in June that it was aiming for a fall debut but gave no date. WS Development's own property page already lists Hill House among the Village's key tenants. Hyde Park Village's tenant page still says "COMING SOON!"
Rifle Paper Co. picked 714 S. Village Circle for what will be only its second store anywhere. The fall 2026 target is still a target.
Hermès is the headline. The Tampa Bay Times reported in August that the Paris house signed for an 8,030-square-foot, two-floor boutique. It will be the brand's fifth Florida location, joining Aventura, Miami, Naples, Orlando and Palm Beach. The Times says it is expected next year, with no official date.
All three openings still on the way run on corporate timelines that the Village doesn't set. None of them is on this fall's event calendar.
Who Is Hosting the Evenings
The October evenings come from tenants who don't need a ribbon-cutting.
On Thursday, October 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., The Candle Pour, Fig & Julep and Bouzy are hosting a joint evening of scent, wine and food. Jen Bingham, Bouzy's owner and sommelier, leads the wine tasting. Neither restaurant is new. Fig & Julep opened its gourmet food store at 1621 West Snow Circle in 2017. Bouzy, a Cru Hospitality Group concept described as locally owned and created when it opened, has been pouring on Snow Avenue since early 2023.
A week later, on Thursday, October 22, Bingo & BOOS takes over HOME by Hyde House at 709 S. Oregon Ave. from 7 to 9 p.m. The ticket includes bites from Ro and a Halloween cocktail. The Village's July directory lists all of these businesses as tenants: Bouzy, Fig & Julep, The Candle Pour, HOME by Hyde House, Ro and Buddy Brew.
These events work because the hosts share a block, and they mix categories. A candle studio, a wine bar and a food store share one ticket. A design shop's studio becomes a bingo hall with food from a neighboring kitchen. Partnerships like these grow out of years as next-door tenants. A boutique opening in its first season hasn't had time to form them.
October and November, Date by Date
The full seasonal run, in order:
- October 9–11: The Coastal Cowgirls Collective pop-up opens the Pumpkin Patch weekend.
- October 10–25: The Pumpkin Patch in Village Circle, with pumpkin-sale proceeds going to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
- Wednesdays, October 14 and 21: Storytime with Mother Boo.
- Thursday, October 15, 6:30–8 p.m.: The scent, wine and food evening with The Candle Pour, Fig & Julep and Bouzy.
- Thursday, October 22, 7–9 p.m.: Bingo & BOOS at HOME by Hyde House.
- Saturday, October 24: The STROLL Hyde Park Pet Parade.
- Sunday, November 1: The monthly Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village, which returns on the first Sunday of each month.
- Thursday, November 19, 5:30–8 p.m.: Holiday Happening, with live music, a Tampa City Ballet performance, Santa, and the tree lighting at 7:45 p.m.
- Sunday, December 6: The Fresh Market's next first-Sunday date.
None of these events depends on a store that hasn't opened yet. Between now and the tree lighting, the calendar runs on the Village's shared spaces, like Village Circle and the Snow Avenue sidewalks, and on tenants already operating.
The Owner's Formula, Seen in Season
WS Development president Samantha David explained the strategy when the Hermès lease was announced. "Since we bought Hyde Park Village, our goal has been to create a destination that offers the most respected international brands alongside the most beloved locals," she told the Times.
This fall shows how the two halves of that sentence move at different speeds. The international half arrives as announcements, months or a full year before the doors open. The local half is already here, and it fills the weeks between announcement and opening. On a Thursday in October, the 1600 block of Snow Avenue has Ralph Lauren open at 1609, Fig & Julep at 1621 West Snow Circle, and Forbici, still open daily at 1633 W. Snow Ave. The evening events on this calendar come from tenants on that block and the blocks around it.
When Rifle Paper Co. and Hill House Home do open, they will join a Village whose seasonal habits are already set. Hermès, landing in 2027, will arrive in the same position a year later. The tree lighting on November 19 will almost certainly come before at least one of those openings.
Just Past the Village Edge
Two changes on South Howard Avenue sit close enough to the Village to affect a fall evening out.
The first is a new restaurant. Howard & Platt opened at 301 S. Howard Ave. on July 23, a Disser Hospitality concept in the former SOHO Saloon space.
The second is a construction project with an unsettled start date. On September 17, the Tampa City Council voted 4-3 to approve the roughly $100 million South Howard Flood Relief project. Bay News 9 reported that the plan closes South Howard Avenue between Swann Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard in sections. The same report says the contractor is scheduled to begin this November and finish by September 2030. The project's FAQ says construction is expected to begin in late 2026 and move one segment at a time, with temporary closures, lane shifts and detours. It estimates that Bayshore's southbound lanes will run as two-way traffic for 8 to 10 weeks, and that some driveways may be inaccessible for 5 to 7 weeks. The City of Tampa's capital project listing gives a different planned start of April 1, 2027, with a planned end of August 31, 2030.
Until the city and its contractor publish a firm schedule, the timing stays open. The work zone's closures on South Howard and the temporary lane change on Bayshore are both worth checking before the holiday season. For now, the route to the Pumpkin Patch and the Holiday Happening is unchanged.
